Not so many contributors nowadays here on RCSD :-(

Identification of your stamp was not easy as the country name is
written only with the arabic / persian alphabet and I do not read it.

I was helped by this site :

The country is Iran and it represents the Ministry of Justice in Teheran
50 Dinars, issued in 1944

afford to 'keep up' with the spurious flood of 'issues'.

Many, as myself, have specialized in limited areas.

1980's. Cut back my GB to pre-decimal and have further cut back to
acquiring primarily QV period.

All that said, there's little of interest here for me, though I
'monitor' to aid where it falls within my area of study.

afford to 'keep up' with the spurious flood of 'issues'.
Many, as myself, have specialized in limited areas.
I 'trashed' my US collection when they went to garbage issues in the
1980's. Cut back my GB to pre-decimal and have further cut back to
acquiring primarily QV period.

Same for me : from the 1st of January 2001, I stopped buying the
rubbish produced by the French Post. At that date the Euro became the
official currency of France and the face values were then written only
in Euros. I had nothing against the adoption of the Euro but it was a
symbolic date.

At that date France has issued 3442 "ordinary" stamps (plus the "back of
the book" ones like Air Post, Postage Due, Pre-Cancelled, ...)
Amongst the 3442 my want list consists of about 10 stamps and I do not
think I will ever be abble to buy all of them :-)

So I decided to limit myself to the 106 stamps of the "Classic" period
(1849-1900) and to acquired stamps of better quality from that period.

I also decided to begin to collect Australia after acquiring some 8 000
Australian stamps in a kiloware sale. And I was delighted and still am
in discovering the philately of this country that I visited lengtly in 2
occasions.

So I decided to limit myself to the 106 stamps of the "Classic" period

Haunt eBay and don't be afraid to contact the seller and make an offer
on a 'buy it now' listing. I've managed some early mint GB that way.

in detail. They're the Yvert specialised of OZ. You'll also need
access to a 'black light' for the few issues in ordinary and
'phosphor' coated.

Yes I have already two UV lamps, for each of the wavelengths

On anything heavy, I always ask the seller how they are shipping and
IF there's a faster [more expensive] mode. This weighs in at FIVE
POUNDS -=without=- any packing materials. 6€ is a bargain!

IF it were SG shipping a couple of their catalogues [equal weight],
it'd be about 65€ !

When I bought the Statham Plating volumes, they came by boat from
the UK, usually 5 weeks. Air would have almost equalled the cost of
the books!

On the 1st day there was only one person from frp
On the 2d day we were 3 for a a drink on "Timbres Magazine" 's
stand followed by a friendly lunch in a nearby restaurant
2 persons were present on the 3rd day and nobody on the last day !

Thus no picture taken and placed on the web by myself.
